Requirements


The Hosted Business Platform is a very powerful tool for your business, but at the same time is very simple to use. There are only two requirements for the Hosted Business Platform:

  • You have a computer that can utilise Microsoft RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol)
    All Microsoft Windows computers can connect using Microsoft RDP (Remote Desktop) out of the box. For users with Apple Mac systems, you can quickly and easily download this software from the Microsoft website (click here). Users operating a Linux based system can also download free software to connect (e.g. rdesktop).

  • You are connected to the internet with a Broadband service.
    We recommend at least a 512/128k broadband service to connect to your Hosted Business Platform and recommend an ADSL2+ connection for best performance.

 

It is also important to note that you must have software licenses for any software you wish to install on your system, other than the software that is being leased with the system (e.g. Microsoft Office). If your additional software can be downloaded online would be preferred, but we can also arrange installation of CD/DVD based software.
