SSL Certificates
Website Security Certificates (SSL Certificates) encrypt and protect the data for your website. This technology is normally required where your website deal with personal or financial information. For example if you have an e-commerce website, the presence of an SSL Certificate shows to your customers that you are serious about the security of their financial information.

Basic SSL
The Basic SSL certificate is a great place to start if your website or application deal with private or financial information. the Basic SSL certificate, when installed to your website, will encrypt all information sent to/from your website to protect its contents. This is vital when sensitive information is being displayed on your website, or where your visitors are submitting information.
Basic SiteSeal
Building on the security of the Basic SSL certificate, this certificate offer you the same level of protection, plus the right to use the 'Site Seal' logo on your website. This Site Seal is a logo that shows to your customers that your website is secured, and that they can feel confident their sensitive information is secure if they enter it on your website.
Extended Validation (EV)
Extended Validation certificates offer the highest level of security possible. These certificates also trigger the 'Green Bar' in common browsers that shows your companies information. This Green Bar, in addition to a SiteSeal logo, shows to your website visitors that you take the security of their personal information seriously, and you are taking steps to ensure this security. Extended Validation certificates require additional information before they can be generated.
To order an SSL Certificate for your website, please submit a support ticket via the Client Portal.
Please note that certificate signing requests (CSR) and installation is included for all We Host It client services. For non-customers, or customers who require an SSL certificate for a non-We Host It server, certificates can be purchased at these rates if a valid CSR is presented and the certificate is self-installed.
